Our Story

Founder Joseph Willett spent years at AT&T, where customers—overwhelmingly seniors—came in with questions that had nothing to do with their phone service and everything to do with the phone itself: how to download an essential app, how to spot a scam text, or how to regain access when locked out of a forgotten email or password.

At the same time, his own mother, a Spanish speaker, struggled to read important mail or understand doctors speaking English.

SBDLI was built to close that exact gap: the space between owning a device and actually being able to use it safely, confidently, and independently.
